Review methodology
AboutEach jersey test follows the same six steps.
- Order: two sizes ordered through the Kakobuy spreadsheet when the chart is ambiguous; order date, agent reply time and delivery days recorded.
- Arrival: packaging photographed, tags and care label photographed before the shirt is opened out.
- Flat measurements: chest width, body length, sleeve length and shoulder width taken twice with a tailor's tape on a hard table, averaged.
- Fabric and build: fabric weight on a kitchen scale, stitches per inch at shoulder and hem, print or embroidery inspected at the edge and after ten collar pulls.
- Wear: one full training session and one full match worn by a tester of the recorded height and chest size.
- Wash cycle: five washes at 30°C with low tumble, re-measured after wash one and wash five; shrinkage and colour bleed logged.
Scores are set in a desk meeting after the wash cycle, using the five-point band. A jersey that shrinks more than 3 cm in body length after five washes cannot score above 3 / 5. A care label that contradicts the fabric behaviour costs a point. We retest every 12 months.
