The Kakobuy Jersey Room is a small editorial desk based in Rotterdam, founded in 2021. We write about one narrow thing: how jerseys bought through the Kakobuy spreadsheet actually fit, what the fabric feels like in the hand, and how the garment survives washing.

Our testing team orders and tests the jerseys we write about. A typical test order is two sizes of the same shirt, because the size charts we see are often a half-size off. When the parcel arrives we photograph the packaging and any tags before opening, then work through a fixed sheet: chest width, body length, sleeve length and shoulder width measured flat with a tailor's tape; fabric weight on a kitchen scale; stitches per inch at the shoulder and hem; collar stretch after ten pulls; and a five-wash cycle at 30°C with a low tumble to see how much length and width move. We log the order date, the agent's reply time and the number of days from payment to arrival, because timing matters when a reader is buying for a specific match.

Three editors run the desk. Elliot Vance handles the editorial line and the care research. Priya Raman runs the review desk and the measurement sheets. Tomas Lindqvist handles sourcing research, seller tracking and the corrections log. Between us we have spent a combined 24 years around sportswear retail, garment QC and consumer research.

Every jersey article carries the date of the test, the sizes ordered, the measured numbers and a score out of five. We publish the steps so a reader can repeat them at home with a tape and a washing machine.

Jersey care research, fabric behaviour after washing, care-label accuracy and editorial standardsElliot Vance
Elliot Vance
Editor-in-Chief

Elliot ran the garment care counter of a Rotterdam sportswear repair shop for four years before joining the desk in 2021. He writes the care and washing guides, runs the five-wash cycle and keeps the label-accuracy log that flags shirts whose printed care instructions do not match how the fabric behaves.

Reviews Editor

Priya spent five years on the fitting floor of a football kit retailer in Manchester, measuring returns and logging why shirts came back. She runs the measurement sheets at the desk, orders two sizes whenever a chart looks ambiguous, and writes the sizing tables that sit under every jersey review.

Research Editor

Tomas came from consumer research on cross-border parcel delivery, where he timed how long orders actually took rather than how long they were promised to take. At the desk he runs the order log, tracks seller changes in fabric and size charts, and keeps the corrections register.
